
Within 30 calendar days from the date you received your citation, you must comply by selecting one of the following options:
PAY TICKET - (points may be assessed). To find out what you owe for your traffic ticket, please review Fees & Costs or call 772-462-6900.
REQUEST COURT HEARING - You may request to take your ticket to court. You can submit your request via the Traffic Upload form.
ELECT TRAFFIC SCHOOL - (if eligible). This option must be submitted in writing along with full payment of the school election price of the citation. Review the Fees & Costs for the school election price of the citation. You may upload your request via the Traffic Upload form.
Failure to comply will result in your driver license being suspended and additional costs assessed.
If you have been issued a citation for failure to carry proof of insurance / registration / driver license, you must submit proof along with payment within 30 calendar days via the Traffic Upload form. Because your case requires specific clerk attention, please contact our office for further clarification at 772-462-6900.

If you receive a citation for any of the following and can provide proof it was valid at the time of citation, you may qualify to pay a $10.00 fee and have the citation dismissed:

If the document was not valid at the time of citation but was renewed within 30 days, you may qualify for a reduced fee instead of dismissal. No points are assessed for these citations.

No points are assessed against your driver license if you attend a driver improvement school. Payment and School Election Affidavit are due within 30 days. Failure to attend the school or pay the fine will result in suspension of your license or late fees being assessed.
By electing this option you will pay the rate according to the charge shown on the citation indicated in the Fee w/Driving School Chart. In addition, you are responsible for the Driver Improvement School cost.
Visit State of Florida approved list of Driving and Education Course Schools for a list of available Florida approved courses. It is your responsibility to make certain that a Certificate of Completion for traffic school is received by our office. You can verify if your certificate was already electronically filed into the case by using the Public Search Court Case Search option. To file your Certificate of Completion, visit the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal and follow the prompts to establish a self-represented litigant account or sign in if you already have an account.
If you choose to contest the ticket, you must make your request for a hearing in writing to the Clerk within 30 calendar days of the date of the citation. You will be notified of your court date. You may upload the court request form thru the Traffic Upload form or you may write the Clerk's office at:
